The Drivin' Wheels were formed in early 2002 when friends Chris Johnson (guitar/vocals) and Mike Pierson (bass/vocals) decided to team up and start a band playing traditional Rock-a-Billy music. After years of playing in a variety of different bands covering songs that were so called popular favorites the two musicians found themselves burned out and wanting to do something to please themselves as well as entertain the masses. They started to learn to play 50's music the way it was meant to be played, using authentic instruments to get the right sound. It wasn't long before the two were out playing as a duet at talent shows and anywhere cool cats craved that Rock-a-Billy sound. Now a 3 piece band the boys can be seen out and about spreading the gospel of Rock-n-Roll as it once was and should be.
