When people go out so see a band in one of the many venues in the area they are looking predominantly for one thing. They want to have a good time. I believe this is lost on many of the other groups in the area. Maybe I am wrong but this isn't about the guys in the band. It is about the people in the crowd. Will they have fun? If they have fun then everybody wins. Chaser works every day toward that goal. What songs can we do to increase the fun factor? Should we put on more show and less dance. Should we do things like have an Ozzy impersonator? What should be said? How do we personalize it? No none of this is scripted everything is off the cuff so to speak. We know we are not the best musicians, showmen, or even entertainers in the area, but I do think we are achieving the goal of being the most fun band in the area. Chaser started about 10 years ago with just three members. JOHN , and KELLY are still remaining. John is a drummer and has been playing professionally in the area for the last 25 years. Kelly is the guitar player and has also been playing in the area for about 20 years. About 7 years ago Chaser was looking to expand. They wanted to add another member to give a fatter sound and more variety to the music.

Along came SCOTT. He also has been playing professionally in the five state area for about 25 years. I guess the time was just right because he brought in keyboards, saxophone, fiddle, mandolin, and guitar to the mix and gave the music the spice it needed. The core sound was defiantly there. He added the variety of sound we needed to take it to the next level. In 2007 Chaser changed Bass Players and found RIKIEY ROC. . He has got the long hair, he wares leather pants, he has a varitey of guitars both branded and custom. He loves to dance around stage and interact with the crowd. He is upbeat and a Total Ham!! What's not to love about this guy. Those of us that have seen him in action know that Rikiey Rocs. He is the Reverend of rock. His prior bands include the Crow, the Prior Brothers, Devada, Tyme Bandits, Bugsy and Under the covers. He is a 35 year veteran of Minneapolis music. He has toured with CROW and is one of the most accomplished bass players and singers in Minnesota. He is a very high energy showman that takes Chaser to a level that we have not see yet but it is coming. All of this combined with the production crew of SCOTT S. and JEFF, you have the band Chaser. 2007 is very exciting and everyone will see fantastic shows and have more fun then should be legal.

One of the best things about the band is the variety of music we have. We play everything from disco to AC/DC, country to 60s, 80s, 90s and contemporary. If you can dance to it we like it. If it is fun we will try it. I think in the last 7 years we have gone through 250 songs that we have learned played and killed because they didn't work. By this I mean the crowd, the fans, if I may be so bold, didn't like the songs. I guess it was not fun enough and that is what it is all about, fun. So if you want a great time, and a variety of music. If you want an experience you may not have had in a while check it out. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.
